DEPARTMENT OF STATISTICS Dept. History- Statistics department was established in the year1968 Vision:- To achieve 100% result. To prepare students at P.G. and related career oriented courses. Preparation of students for competitive exam UPSC, MPSC and Staff selections in general. Mission:- To centralize the application of statistics in curriculum and courses related. SWOT Analysis :- Strength- 1. We have well equipped laboratory. 2. We provide internet facility to all the students in the department and faculty too. 3. Conduct UGC-NRC program 4. Qualified teaching staff. 5. We arrange guest lectures and seminars Opportunities - 1. Scope for more professional courses 2. Scope for the Campus interviews. 3. We use to send our student for participating in the events on the other colleges. 4. Can be leading Dept to train students for IT and Computational industries. Future Plan:- 1) We are going to organize a seminar of statistics in future. 5) We are organizing guest lecturers to guide B.Sc. I , B.Sc II & B.Sc. III students. Facilities:- • Internet facility for students and teaching faculty. • Well Equipped Laboratory with 60 Scientific calculators . • Departmental Library. • Practical’s are conducted by using MS Excel software.and R software
